Scientists at the Humanoid Research Center in Korea have created a bipedal walking robot chair called the Hubo FX-1. It can carry a passenger who weighs up to 1ookg or 220lbs. The Hubo FX-1 has built-in gyro/inclination sensors, a 3-axis force/torque sensor and is controlled by the user with a joystick.

I knew that the development of a bipedal robot which could carry a human passenger would come eventually, but its still amazing to watch Hubo operate as the researcher sits on it and controls it.

Wow! These researchers have made quite an achievement.
