Is it me or is there an alarming amount of people who do not wash their hands after using the washroom. I see it all the time when I’m out in public areas. What’s the reason for this disgusting behavior? Can’t this behavior lead to the transmission of colds, flus and even nastier things like that flesh eating virus? Lack of washroom etiquette is so bad right now that in some places one has to consider carrying around paper towels to prevent your hand from coming in contact with possibly germ covered door handles.
But now their might be another solution to protecting yourself against germs. The handheld UV scanner, that you see above uses ultraviolet light to kill germs. It supposedly requires only a few seconds to kill 99.9% of germs found on doorhandles, keyboards, mice and other surfaces. It costs $29.99, requires 4 AAA batteries and its small size should make it easy to carry around. I’m not sure how effective this thing is but if it sounds like something you would be interested in it can be purchased here.
