The folks at Boston Dynamics, that company that brought you BigDog, thought that it would be interesting if they attached horns to it and had it charge some guy holding a red blanket.
Perhaps the idea came from a desire to make its appearance more fierce and intimidating. After all, one of the proposed uses for BigDog will be with soldiers on the battlefield.
