Sunbrite has released information on its largest outdoor LCD TV the 46-inch 4600HD.
The 4600HD has been designed to be used in a variety of conditions and as such is resistant to rain, dirt, scratches and bugs. Impressively the LCD TV can function in temperatures as low as -24 degrees Farenheight or as high as 122 degrees Farenheight.
The 4600HD has good TV specifications as well. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio, a HD-ready resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, and contrast ratio of 1600:1 and a HDMI input . Sunbrite will display the 4600HD at the CEDIA Expo in September. It is priced at $4995.

NU Global, has created a portable wireless 15.4 inch LCD television called the NU Wireless tv. The tv(model number WTW154) was announced at Taitronics Bangkok 2007.
The tv’s portability and its ability to receive transmissions wirelessly are great features, however its most unique feature is its case.
This case allows the WTW154 to be both waterproof and shock proof.
It also has a external transmitter that allows it to display cable tv, DVDs and this transmitter also allows it to control an external CCD camera.

Asus has released four LCD monitors, the PG221, the PW201,the PG191, and the PW191. They all feature a super fast response time of 2 ms and a image brightness of 350 cd/m2. Their specs follow below.
The PG221 has a screen size of 22 inches, a resolution of 1680 x 1050 and a contrast ratio of 2000:1. The PW201 has a screen size of 20.1 inches, a resolution of 1680 x 1050 and a contrast ratio of 800:1. The PG191 has a screen size of 19 inches, a resolution of 1280 x 1024 and a contrast ratio of 800:1. The PW191 has a screen size of 19 inches, a resolution of 1440 x 900 and a contrast ratio of 800:1.
These monitors are available now in Japan and range in price from 55000 Yen ($463.53 USD) to 91000 Yen ($766.83 USD).

Samsung has announced that it has created a 30-inch LCD which incorporates the DisplayPort interface. The display has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and contrast ratio of 1000:1. This announcement makes Samsung the first company to produce a such an LCD. The DisplayPort interface transmits data at a speed of 10.8 Gigabits per second. Samsung has included a very unique feature in its latest HDTV DLP models, that is the ablity to display the video content in 3-D with an optional set of special LCD shutter glasses and pc software. The tvs refresh rate operates at 120 Hz. The glasses display a discrete image in front of the right eye at 60 Hz and a discrete image in front of the left eye at 60 Hz. These images when synchronized with the tv screen image, running at 120 Hz, creates a 3-D effect. This is 3-D feature is available in all of Samsung’s HDTV DLP sets. …Continue reading … »

In Korea Bang and Olufsen introduced the 40 inch BeoVision 7 LCD. The BeoVision 7 with a unique feature. This LCD sits on a motorized stand which can tilt various degrees allowing for the screen to be more easily from various angles. The rotating stand is controlled by the BeoVision 7’s remote. Another interesting feature of this LCD is its built-in DVD player. No information on price or availability was given.

Samsung will be adding a 70 inch model to its line of 81 series LED LCD displays. The model will be called the LN-T7081F, and will feature the LED backlighting “local dimming” technology which controls the brightness for 64 areas of the screen. This will allow the display to have a contrast ratio of 100,000:1. Another special feature of this set will be its 178 degree viewing angle. This is the first LED LCD of this size to come to the market. No price has yet been announced. This display as well as the rest of the 81 series will ship in August of 2007.

Samsung released information on their 71 and 81 series LCDs. The 71 series LCD has the following features:
- 1080 progressive display
- 25,000: 1 dynamic contrast ratio
- 3 HDMI 1.3 ports
- CCFL backlight
- 120Hz “Auto Motion Plus”
- built-in speakers and subwoofer
Prices for the 71 series sets are as follows: 40-inch ($2,699), 46-inch ($3,399) and 52-inch ($4,399) .
The 81 series has all the features of the 71 series and the following additional features:
- 100,0000:1 dynamic contrast ratio
- LED backlighting in place of the CCFL backlight
- 120Hz “Auto Motion PlusLED” in place of “Auto Motion Plus”
Prices for the 81 series sets are as follows:40-inch ($2,999), 46-inch ($3,999), 52-inch ($4,999) and 57 inch($6,999).
