Located above you’ll find a snapshot from the latest trailer for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film ‘Inception’. It looks awsome. And recalling Nolan’s track record I expect that it will include a good story and interesting characters to go along with the impressive visuals. Unfortunately I can’t embed the video, however you can check out the trailer here.

Fox will be releasing Avatar on Blu-ray and DVD on April 22, 2010. This 2D release will contain only the film and have no extra features to allow for the best possible picture and sound says Avatar producer Jon Landau. The film’s video will be presented in a 1:78.1 ratio on both formats and the Blu-ray version will have DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio. The Blu-ray and DVD versions will be priced at $39.99 and $29.98 respectively.

There has not been an official statement from Fox studios concerning the release date, but according to James Cameron, himself, the blockbuster Avatar is coming to Blu-ray and DVD on april 22, 2010.
Again this has not been confirmed by Fox so the release date could easily change, especially since Avatar is still doing very well at the box office. More info on this as it becomes available.

Wow. Can you believe that Avatar has only been out less than one month and has already grossed $491 million domestically and $1.11 billion internationally, bringing its total receipts to over $1.6 Billion? At this pace I believe that it will overtake Titanic’s $1.8 billion box office gross to become the number grossing movie (without-inflation adjustments). I’m guessing that this will be in about three weeks. And when all is said and done I think this film will end its box office gross above 2.1 Billion. Crazy stuff. Anyway it’s good to see a film that is actually great doing amazing numbers. Cheers to Cameron and company.

Movies
I saw it twice, once in 3D on a regular-sized screen, and once on a normal screen. Avatar is a great film. I was initially disappointed in the quality of the computer generated images from viewing the trailers. But these trailers don’t reveal the high quality visuals of the film. …Continue reading … »

A second trailer for Jim Cameron’s film “Avatar” has been released. This trailer gives the viewer more information on the story of the film but overall it is not too different from the first trailer.
James Cameron has a great track record as film maker so I’m not too worried about the story. …Continue reading … »
